FlyerInOKC - I am not familiar with Calvin and Hobbs, but the drawings will look great on a Tiger.
As to my progress, I got the horizontal stabilizer sheeted. Using 1/32" (0.8mm) balsa, I had some "peeling damage" when removing the 3M blue tape from the sheeting joint. Nothing to worry about, some filler and sanding got it fixed.

My Feedback: (6)
0.8 mm Balsa skin that is thin. I'm so ham handed I don't think it would survive handling at my house.
Allow me to enlighten you, hopefully you can reach the site from Oz.

FlyerInOKC - Thank you for the link, it can be accessed from Oz : )
Elevator construction. I managed to pick up an error on my drawing prior to cutting, so saved myself re-doing it... A fiddly sanding work to fit the tube joiner.

FlyerInOKC - When compared with the 1/5th scale Messerschmitt BF-109 project from a couple of years back which consumed 5 years of my time, this one is a walk in the park...
I got the top side of the wing covered.

FlyerInOKC - I think I got the idea of the spray contact adhesive here in the forums few years ago. It works great.
I cut a "kit" of fuselage parts... I traced the plans for the fuselage side view to keep the plans for the build.

FlyerInOKC - Progress is OK for the time spent : )
Some more work on the fuselage. The drawing of the top section was not symmetric (pre-CAD days), so I cut it on the centre line and mirrored it while tracing to the wood.

FlyerInOKC - I prefer building wings then fuselages... This is why it is always going slower for me.
As can be seen managed to cut the formers too wide, so I had to trim them all...

FlyerInOKC - I am yet to know a builder that do not make mistakes during a scratch build project. Some will never post the fact that they made a mistake, but I have no issue with it
I glued the fuselage sides one at a time and then glued the firewall into place.
