CK, you hit it right! I should have known. It is a flexible material that is silver colored. That's the first time I have seen such a thing. Thanks for all the responses. Dan.

Walbro Metering Needle

I have two of the Walbro K20-WAT rebuild kits. They are dated 05 2011 and 08 2013. They both have metering needles without the rubber coating on the tip. Is this the new normal? Dan.
