Funnily enough I have just brought my Ram 500 out of retirement and it gives off a small puff of smoke every few seconds at idle. It also leaks a bit around the tailcone. Too late for me to...

Congratulations on becoming a turbine driver! You will not look back. I have just sold all but one of my prop models to concentrate on turbines
and have ordered a Wren Supersport, 18lbs...

I have never used them and, to my knowledge , have never suffered a radio failure for that reason. Wren fit a ferrite ring on the throttle lead from the ECU to the Rx.
