xxq111,
Several sketches and dimensions for R54 intakes are described in this thread, you have to dig back to find them. I don't know if a ready set of intakes are available.

Carlos,
I still feel that the vent of your aux tank will drain the main tank due to gravity flow. Try a setup on the bench with the main higher in elevation compared to the aux and its vent.

Carlos,
On your Post #4091 showing your planned 80 oz fuel system layout, you should vent the main 60 oz tank, not the 16 oz auxiliary tank. Venting the aux tank will drain the main tank due to...

Salmonbug,
You can program crow or "butterfly" to the standard ailerons to kill lift on landings. There's some discussion on the designer's website on using crow for landings-no need to modify the...

Johnny,
You might want to recheck the flap throws and their deflection. This is best done with a pair of straight 10-12" long 1/4" balsa/spruce strips attached to each flap-use masking tape or...

Johnny,
Cutting and moving the outboard tip upwards serves as a trim tab to correct any trim problems caused by a warped wing. The tip is just partially scored with an xacto and bent/cracked...

Johnny,
After checking the lateral balance and equalizing it you may want to recheck the aileron trim condition. A simple "trick" is to raise the tip portion, beyond the movable aileron to correct...

Johnny,
Congrats on the maiden-looking good. For the start tube you should use steel stove pipe rather than aluminum dryer vent as the melting/deforming temps are much higher. Also the gap should...

Johnny,
You should be fine with a 45 cut on the Tygon overflow vent. What I've done is fabricate a fitting out of 5/32 brass tubing with one end cut at a 45. This is soldered to a brass plate...

Johnny,
There's several things you can do with your overflow vent. The easiest is to simply cut a 45 angle on the tubing facing the airflow. Next you can purchase some fancy overflow fittings from...

I just viewed your video and it appears that the startup tube is too close to the turbine and causing the high temp during full power runs. Back this start tube so that there is a slight,...

Pull the EGT probe outward from the tailcone- only about a 1/16th " or so and retry. This should lower your EGT and shutdown issues. However, it may take a might longer to ramp on starting....

Johnny,
Twelve oz of lead to simulate a fully fueled UAT is a bit much-should be about 4 oz max. Rebalance with a 4 oz weight for the UAT and you may have to remove some of the nose ballast. To be...

Woketman,
It is hard to attach the 4mm fuel line (from the pump to the turbine) to the 6mm Festo filter. Agree with using a 6 mm Festo upstream of the pump but that's not the usual place for it. ...

You may want to exchange the Festo filter as these are prone to leak. If on the suction side of the fuel pump then air bubbles may be introduced into the fuel flow-not good. If on the...
