Throws from the Manual:
Aileron: 3/4" Up, 5/8" Down
Elevator: 5/8" Up, 5/8" Down
Rudder: 1 1/2" L, 1 1/2" R
Down Elevator w/ Full Flaps: 1/8"
I have the CG marked on my R54 at 6 1/4" - 7...

You are going to enjoy building it. I rescued my first R54 and I am currently rebuilding it with a lot of the cool ideas I've found on this thread. This time, it'll fly with the new Jetsmunt 19lb....

I'm setting up my PST600 turbine on my R54. Instructions are vague. The solenoid valve has 2 fittings, a FESTO and a brass barb fitting. Which goes toward the onboard gas canister? Does it matter?...

You should try the Multiplex Royal Evo line of transmitters. You can assign any function to any button, switch, gizmo. And the programming, POC after learning Multiplex's "language". Fantastic radio.

Although, they don't have landing gear or rudders, pylon racers, hotliners or F5B sailplanes are about as high performance as you can go in electric powered models. Other than these, you can try...

What's the roundel diameter on your 54? I'm doing a "Red Arrows" scheme and I like what you've done. I'm glassing the fuselage, tail feathers and using Koverall on the wings.

How long did it take you guys to complete the R54? I've had mine since August and I've just completed both wing assemblies.
