I'd love to see a short video of your rudder...

I'd love to see a short video of your rudder linkage, at the control surface, working to full throws. To me, It doesn't look very good geometry wise....

Anyway..... Move the turbine forward an 1" (25.4mm) and you need less nose weight. THAT alone will more than make up for any perceived loss in turbine performance. BTW...she'll fly fine at 170MPH...

The flaps are used to create drag, not increase lift. With full flap deflection, you'll need about 1/3 throttle just to maintain slow flight with the wheels out. NO NEED FOR SPEED BRAKES!

For what it is worth... I've never lubricated the elevator and rudder cables. They slide free enough and I never get a buzz from the digital servos at center. I would worry about the plastic sleeve...

Go with 2pcs 2 cell A123 packs EACH thru its own switch harness and then directly into your 9 channel RX. No need for regulators what so ever. Works for me for 3 years in anything from a KingCat to...

Build it stock and you're guaranteed for success. YES even the wire struts! NEVER had an issue with mine. I do suggest Trim wheels and brakes from DreamworksRC though.
