Yes, I've tried them in both. Fully charged, they are about 6.9v. I suggest you try one as a test, and if it works for you, then acquire more.

I like the Hyperion 3800 LiFe batteries. Cost 40 bucks a pop. They work great, and have a longer life (i.e. more cycles) than LiPos.
