Thanks, did you happen to check it inverted to see how much up you needed?

I had it balanced on the front wing spar and inverted it also flew like she was a little tail heavy.

So maybe balancing on the back side of the spare will get it to the sweet spot

Hi guys,
I'm curently flying my Hornet with a CG at 140mm (no fuel in the tanks). Far forward of the required point from Skymaster (188mm).
Feels better for me.

Hello, I'm using "smoke 3" cartridge from smokfly. I have 2 minutes of smoke.
I buy it from "alm modelisme" in France. Don't know if they ship as it is considered as dangerous good...

I've seen two of these now and did some work on them for Neal and Barry, and they are very impressive.

The K-160G2's in the tail are your best bet for power.

Hey Arnaud,
We are going to maiden ours next weekend and glad to see your updated CG specs. Your measuring from the leading edge of the wing at the root I assume?

What was your total weight ready to fly? I’m at 74lbs full of fuel. We installed K-160’s mid mounted.

Looking forward to the maiden. Will post some pictures.

Yes my CG was measured at the wing root and from the leadind edge slat. Mine is a F18C.
Take off weight is 33kg (73,3Lbs).
Good luck for your maiden !
I’m sure you will enjoy..

Hello Anton,
Do you think a single K260 centrally mounted would give enough power for F18 C ? Do you have a picture of the Y tailpipe for single engine ? Many thanks. Etienne.

Anymore updates from guys flying this bird? Single turbine compared to twin? CG settings?
Looking at pulling the trigger on one this year, just trying to decide twin or single.

Thanks
Levi

Can someone explain the canopy lock, does it just slide forward once closed and the two metal rod ends at the end push into the front frame? Thanks

I am building a C model single with K310. Making lots of changes and had custom fuel tanks made as well as reinforcing the big main tank with extra Kevlar. My opinion single is the way to go. Mine is still quite a ways out from being close to finished.

on mine and another I saw the entire canopy mechanism was installed backwards at the factory.... Best part is they don't give you any pics or instructions so you have to assume they did it right... Well they don't. I spent a very huge amount of time getting the canopy right.

also in order to make it reliable I did lots of mods to make mine work.
